WHY.
recently, i received one as my graduation present. needless to say, my life will never be the same again. in addition to the excessive amounts of emo-girl/boi pictures i've been taking, i've also taken some worthwhile pictures, which i have deemed worthy enough to be placed in a live journal entry. please, indulge.

so this friday is opening night of concert. i'm a senior. thus, i will be singing my senior solo, directing my senior scene, delivering my senior speech at focus, and doing all other senior-related scenes. i must've missed the memo, or not received the e-mail, because SINCE WHEN AM I A FUCKING SENIOR? freshman concert feels like yesterday, when i awkwardly squeaked out 'pretty women' from sweeney todd - lopsided bowlcut, rampant acne and all. it all seems like it was last week, a not-so distant memory. (WARNING: NPC cliche) can't we all vividly remember sitting backstage listening to the seniors deliever their solos, feeling so young, inexperienced, and unknowing in comparison to the seemingly omniscient old sages on stage? i sure as hell can.
so it seems the 'season of lasts' has begun. last NPC concert. soon it will be last musical, then last april break, then last day of school, then graduation, then last NPC show ever, then college. what is this? where am i? WHERE IS MY LIFE?! class of 2005. it is 2005.
alright, that wasn't half as eloquent as i thought it was going to be. sucks. graduation is in less than 5 months. stick that in your pipe and smoke it.

ALRIGHT BITCHES.
so the past few weeks have been spent traipsing around the country. first was cincinnati to look at a school, which was quite successful, but fruitless because i'm not applying to conservatories anymore. oh well. next was dropping sister off at vanderbilt. nasvhille's not my favorite place in the world. i counted 24 George W. '04 stickers on campus in my 48 hours that i was there. boldly placed in the windows above one of the favorite eateries are the words "BUSH COUNTRY." so you can tell what kind of place it is. however, it was good to see my sister happy again, and to laugh at the people who go to her school. ALTHOUGH the 39 hours in the car with my parents was rather painful. ANYWAYS then i came home and went to LBI with ms. alyson stroker, then off to hersheypark with emma, patrick and strokes. now i'm home, not allowed into the city due to the RNC (which my parents refuse to leave the couch for every night. they stood up after rudy's speech. i watched 'fabulous life of tom cruise' on VH1.) but whatever, SENIOR YEAR STARTS IN ONE WEEK. it's going to fuckin rule. i dont care what anyone says. i'm gonna have a good time. and all ya'll bitches who are just gonna stress about college the entire year, FUCK YA'LL. imma have me some fun. WHORES

so basically no one is home in ridgewood and it SUCKS BALLS. oh well, susan and i saw 'the clearing' last night which might have been the worst movie ever made in the history of cinema. oh well, it was oodles of fun because we were the only 2 patrons of the Washington Township movie theatre at that time. we decided that they definitely wanted to close the theatre for the night but we walked in and spoiled their fun. WHATERR.
so summer has been quite an interesting one. here's why:
Graydon Day Camp - now, never in a million years would i have thought that i would be working with children. EVER. but, the power of $$$ overcame my judgement, and was magically hired as a head counselor of 3rd and 4th grade boys, despite my hatred for the chilluns. well, it was interesting to say the least. actually, it was a pretty sweet deal. who would have thought that my apathy and general laziness was worth 6.75 an hour? i guess Ridgewood Parks and Recreation does. Oh well, 6 weeks of yelling at kids wasn't as bad as i thought. and i made pretty good money. SWEET.
Summer NPC - WHOA. well, it was different than most summers. mostly due to the overwhelming amount of rehearsal. i didn't have an off night all summer, which would normally be annoying. BUT, this summer, for the first time, i felt like i received valuable theatre training from the New Players Company, mostly because of the acquisition of Tracy Bersely, our extremely talented and qualified choreographer. i spent 29084098027298479827 hours in rehearsal, but i loved every minute of it. because i think that's what gets lost. people get so caught up in the social aspect of it, (which is awesome, mind you), that they forget that we're there to put on a show. i love theatre more than i love socializing, so this was definitely a worthwhile summer. BALLZ.
dance - i've been dancing a lot more, mostly due to pippin. WHOA. i took the most AMAZING theatre tap class @ BDC, where we learned the Tony winning choreography from 'Thoroughly Modern Millie.' (Forget About the Boy). It was amazing. just emphasizes that i need to do this for the rest of my life. but yea, i've been dancing more and more, and it's been awesome.
well, this week sucks because everyone is away, and i am not. HOWEVER, i will be departing for THE QUEEN CITY: CINCINNATI, OHIO! on thursday, to check out CCM @ University of Cincinnati. they have a kickass program, so it should be excellent.

Carolyn and I are currently in the library at school. We just took unprepareds in gym and sat and drank watered down liquor while talking about having sex with our physicians. Ha, and you think we're joking.
Soon, I will be going into town to get a job. Now, I have never, EVER worked for money before in my entire life. Well, besides my rampant prostitution. But anyway, if I end up slicing lukewarm deli meat at Quizno's for horribly dressed tweens, please kill me. Thanx.
